The image you will find above is called a boon. These are upgrades so you can progress further into the game. These blessings are from various gods, like Aphrodite, Hephaesteus, Ares and Zeus. You don’t get them immediately though. You either beat a round of enemies or buy them at the famous Stygian Boatman Charon’s shop. Each boon is for a seperate effect like making your attack quicker (for Hermes’ boons) or slowing down enemies (for Demeter’s). There is a very rare chance where you will find two boons from seperate gods in 1 encounter (a round of enemies). These are called Family Disputes and the only other occasion where you get multiple boons is in the Fields of Mourning which is one of the many areas in the game.
